My first aquarel.

A few weeks ago I was in Extremadura, Spain and had the idea to transform some of my pictures I photographed over there into digital paintings.

This scenery is situated at the borders of the charming “Embalse de las Covachillas” near the town of Malpartida De Plasencia.

Devil’s blood.

When an alder tree is cut the wood is white but within short time it colors from yellow to orange-red.

The juice that comes out is almost blood red.

In the UK they thought that this was the blood of the devil or from witches who lived inside the tree.

For that reason it was forbidden to cut alder trees.

Luckily time has changed.
